Carnations…the Billy Baldwin of flowers.
Carnations are treated like a seat filler at the Oscars: We still use them but only to fill space. These underrated little nuggets can make you a beautiful flower curtain for less money that you can buy a dozen roses.
Here is a little idea for those of you have a little girl in your life (little or big) that needs some special attention…you can hang this from a doorway or a tree and throw down a big blanket and some pillows and have a special picnic…a few jars of lemonade, sandwiches, and cupcakes. What a magical memory for a daughter, mother, or girlfriend. This reminds me of my favorite quote…collect memories, not things.
What to do:
Using fishing wire, carefully tie each carnation by the stem and string them together. Hang and enjoy the view!
